Theodore Roosevelt Sanctuary - The Theodore Roosevelt Sanctuary and Audubon Center, through high-quality programs and a professional staff, provides natural science education to children and adults on Long Island and beyond. Their goal is to raise people's awareness of the natural world, with the hope that those who learn from their programs will help them preserve and protect wildlife and habitats.

New York State Ornithological Association - NYSOA is New York State's ornithological society. The objectives of NYSOA are to document the ornithology of New York State; to foster interest in and appreciation of birds; and to protect birds and their habitats.
Long Island Birding - A site about Long Island bird watching, birds and birders. It's an exciting hobby and Long Island is a wonderful place to be a birder and has wonderful birds to see.
Cornell Lab of Ornithology - From backyards and city streets to remote forests, anyone who counts birds can contribute to the Lab's research. Data from the projects described below are used to monitor bird populations and outline conservation efforts.

Volunteers For Wildlife - Volunteers For Wildlife is a non-profit, volunteer organization, founded in 1982 and dedicated to preserving Long Island, New York’s wildlife and natural habitats, public education and the rescue, rehabilitation and release of wildlife.
